This explains what cookies and similar tools we use on this website, what each one is for, and how to turn them off. It goes with our Privacy Policy, which covers everything else we do with your information.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They are used widely across the internet. Some are set by us, and some are set by other companies whose tools we use, such as an advertising platform.
Alongside cookies we also use browser storage, which works much the same way but keeps the information on your device rather than sending it back and forth, and pixels, which are tiny invisible images that tell a platform an action happened.
| Category | Can you turn it off? | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | No | Makes the site work and keeps it secure. Includes remembering that you already unlocked a calculator so you are not asked for your details twice, and protecting forms against automated abuse. Without these, parts of the site stop working. |
| Functional | Yes | Remembers choices you have made, such as dismissing the cookie banner, so you are not asked again on every page. |
| Analytics | Yes | Counts how many people visit and which pages get read, so we know what is worth writing more of. This is measured in totals, not to build a profile of you. |
| Advertising | Not in use yet | We are not running paid advertising at this time, so none of these are active. When we do, they will record which ad or post you clicked so we can tell what actually produces inquiries, and let advertising platforms show our ads to people who have already visited. Those platforms may also recognize your device on other websites where they serve ads. This is a separate choice in the cookie banner, it starts switched off, and declining it prevents these tags from loading at all. |
When you arrive from a link we posted, that link often carries a short tag naming the source, such as a specific YouTube video or an email newsletter. We keep that tag in your browser's storage so that if you later fill out a form, we can tell which content brought you to us.
If you arrive without a tag, we may record the website you came from, for example that you came from YouTube, without learning anything about your account there.
This stays on your device while you browse. It is sent to us only if you choose to submit a form.
We are not currently running paid advertising. When we do, the platforms below may set cookies on your device or receive a click identifier when you arrive from one of their ads. Each one has its own controls, which apply across every site that uses them, not just ours.
We turn these on only while campaigns are running. This page is updated when that changes.
None of these affect your loan, your pricing, or the service you get from us.
